CJSC Soft Roof

Plant Soft Roof is one of the leading enterprises in producing rolled roofing and waterproofing materials. This is one of those few enterprises that has retained its independence from large competing corporations and the autonomy of its work.
The plant's products are widely used in industrial and civil construction. The company produces traditional cardboard-based roofing materials: roofing material RKP-350, RKK-400, rubemast, bituminous paper, glassine, and modern roofing materials. One is a reinforced roof - a modern polymer-bitumen roofing material based on fiberglass and fiberglass. Its analogues are Isoplast, Termoflex and Rubitex.

JSC Soft Roof also produces soft roofing materials: roofing felt, armored glass, glassine and packaging bitumen paper, roofing, and boxboard. In addition, the plant has wrapping paper, oil construction, and road bitumen, as well as bituminous mastics and primers.

The Soft Roof plant participates in contract tenders and competitions held by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, RAO Gazprom, and JSC Surgutneftegaz, as well as in many construction and architecture exhibitions in Samara, Tolyatti, and Moscow. The plant has many diplomas and awards: for the production of armored carpets, for a significant contribution to the development of industrial and commercial activities in the south of Russia, for the breadth of the product range, high skill and professionalism of the services presented at exhibitions.

In 1929, the Supreme Council of the National Economy decided to build a roofing felt plant and a paper mill in Samara to produce paperboard. With its help, it was planned to fulfill the need for roofing materials. The plant is designed for 900 thousand pieces of roofing felt and 600 thousand pieces of roofing material, the production of which would be carried out by 600 workers. The plant was planned to be fully mechanized and equipped with the latest technology.
In 1932, by order of the NKTP No. 886, the Samara toleruberoid plant was put into operation. It was one of Samara's most significant construction projects during the first five-year plan. The plant is located on the banks of the Samara River, on the odd side of the Fifth Passage (now - Aurora Street).

In 1993, the plant was reorganized in the privatization process into the Joint Stock Company of the closed type "Soft Roof".

In 2019, the international group of companies Soprema officially announced its intention to enter the Russian market and plans to develop its production and commercial enterprises.

The company opted for the Samara region: in January 2020, Soprema bought out 100% of the shares of Soft Roof JSC and ET-Plast JSC for the construction of a new production facility (a production building with an area of ​​more than 2 thousand square meters on existing areas enterprises), where it is planned to install Italian equipment for the production of premium waterproofing materials that can compete with the world's best manufacturers. During the implementation of the project, it is planned to create new jobs.
